Andy Cole joins Ashley Cole & Terry at EPL Hall of Fame inductions event

Andy Cole, Ashley Cole and John Terry were honoured at a celebration event marking their inductions into the Premier League Hall of Fame on Tuesday night.

Former Man United star Andy Cole and ex-Chelsea captained Terry were confirmed as the latest inductees last week.

The pair joined Ashley Cole in becoming the latest names added to the roll of honour, with the former Arsenal and Chelsea full back voted in earlier this year.

The trio each received medallions engraved with their names at the celebration event in London, with members of their family among those present in the audience at HERE at Outernet.

Former Premier League strikers Alan Shearer and Gary Lineker were among the famous faces in attendance at the event.

The Hall of Fame honours those players and managers that have made huge contributions to the historic success of the top-flight, with 22 figures already inducted prior to Monday.

All inductees selected a charity which receives a £10,000 donation from the Premier League.

Five-time Premier League winners Andy Cole and Terry were inducted after being voted in by fans worldwide through an online public ballot from a shortlist of 15 ex-players and the Premier League Awards Panel.

Both Cole and Terry enjoyed storied careers in the Premier League, with the former representing seven different teams, while the defensive icon spent his entire 19-year top-flight stint at Chelsea.

As the league’s fourth-highest ever goal scorer, Cole was a natural finisher and predator inside the box; he was the first player to score five in a single match, and one of only three to have two or more hat-tricks at two clubs.

Of Cole’s five consecutive titles, three came in the period 1998-99-2000-01, with the English striker of course an unforgettable part of United’s Treble-winners in 1999.

Terry, Chelsea’s most successful ever captain, holds the record for most clean sheets in the league at 214, and is the division’s top scoring defender with 41 to his name.

Ashley Cole  won two Premier League titles at Arsenal – including their iconic Invincible season – before he joined Chelsea in a controversial move in 2006.

He was team-mates to Terry at Stamford Bridge for eight seasons, in which they won the Premier League title, the Champions League in 2012 and four FA Cups.
