Former EPL stars say they’re ‘looking for a wife’ and their own Beyonce

Former Tottenham star Jamie O’Hara is ‘looking for a wife’, while ex-Liverpool and Ajax star Ryan Babel reveals his type is a woman that looks like Beyonce, as two of the stars of Peacock’s new reality dating show ‘Love Undercover’.

‘Love Undercover’ takes five footballers who have played for some of the biggest clubs in the world and bring them all to Los Angeles to meet single women with one catch: they’re not allowed to say they’re professional athletes until the end of the show.

Joining O’Hara and Babel as the soccer stars on the show are Marco Fabian, Lloyd Jones and Sebastian Fassi.

In lying about their jobs, O’Hara told the girls he is trying to woo he is an ad salesman. Babel said he is a construction worker.

The show was filmed in Los Angeles, over a period of four weeks, with the big reveals happening after a few dates with the women, where each athlete invites one girl to Europe with him after confessing his true identity.

‘I wont be predictable,’ Babel said. ‘If she looks like Beyoncé, she’s my type!’

‘Now the games are going to begin,’ O’Hara added. ‘I’m Jamie O’hara, the famous football player. The real reason I was called “Hollywood” is because I was partying all the time.  But I’m looking for someone to be my wife.’

‘This place is about to kick off!’ O’Hara concludes.

There are 18 women competing for the affection of the secret soccer stars.

The dating show debuts on Peacock May 9, with new batches of episodes being released May 16 and May 23.

O’Hara’s former talkSPORT colleague, Laura Woods, said she is ‘clearing her diary’ to be available to watch all episodes of ‘Love Undercover’.

Babel and O’Hara, both 36, are the eldest to bachelors on the show, with former Mexico national team star Marco Fabian at the median age of 33.

Sebastián Fassi is 29 and Lloyd Jones is the youngest of the bunch is 27 and is the only one of the show currently playing in England for Charlton Athletic.

Charlton is in 16th place in League One, the third tier of English professional football.

‘Girls in the past have gone for me because of what I’ve got,’ O’Hara added.
