Laura Woods can’t stop giggling as Rio Ferdinand is awkwardly blanked by Real Madrid star during Bayern Munich clash

LAURA WOODS could not stop giggling after an awkward exchange between Rio Ferdinand and Antonio Rudiger.

Manchester United legend Ferdinand was pitchside with Woods on TNT Sports for Real Madrid’s second leg Champions League semi-final clash with Bayern Munich.

The Spanish side managed to squeeze through after a brace of late goals from super sub Joselu to seal a 4-3 aggregate victory.

Alphonso Davies had opened the scoring for the visitors in the 68th minute with a stunning strike before the Stoke and Newcastle flop poked home a spilled Manuel Neuer catch to equalise.

Joselu, 34, then tapped home the winner in the second minute of injury-time after former Chelsea star Rudiger zipped the ball across the box.

The manic celebrations saw Rudiger rush over to the section of the crowd where 45-year-old Ferdinand was standing.

It appeared as though the 31-year-old was going to jump into the crowd to celebrate.

However, Ferdinand had seen the linesmans flag up on the far side of the pitch and tried to point it out to Rudiger.

Rudiger subsequently performed a U-turn and returned to the pitch, leaving Ferdinand, who had stretched out his hand touch Rudiger, looking embarrassed.

Ferdinand turned to the camera and looked over to Woods before cracking a joke about the situation.

The camera then panned over to Woods, who had her hand over her mouth to try and stop herself from laughing too hard at Ferdinand’s expense.

After a VAR check the goal was then allowed to stand.

And this time Ferdinand did manage to get his celebration’s in.

He was seen hugging and celebrating with some of the home support in the corner of the stadium.

The win meant Bayern will end the season trophyless for the first time in 12 years, leaving fans to declare the Harry Kane “curse” is real.

Meanwhile, Real have the chance to win their 15th Champions League title if they can beat Borussia Dortmund in the final.

The home side seemed to be so confident of making it though that they wore shirts saying “Go for 15” on the pitch after the game.
