How to get tickets for the 2024 Champions League final at Wembley

Following this week’s semi final second legs we now know that Real Madrid will face Borussia Dortmund at London’s iconic Wembley Stadium.

On Wednesday in the Spanish capital Real Madrid pulled off a sensational late comeback to knock out Bayern Munich and reach their ninth final in the Champions League era.

Following a 2-2 draw in last week’s first leg in Bavaria, Bayern took an aggregate lead in the return when Alphonso Davies fired the Bundesliga side ahead with just over 20 minutes remaining on the clock.

Over the years, time and time again Madrid have a knack of delivering last minutes shocks and substitute Joselu bagged a brace in the 88th and 91st minutes to send Carlo Ancelotti’s men into the final with Los Blancos now one step away from lifting a record-extending 15th European title.

Dortmund reach third final

On Tuesday, Dortmund shocked PSG in the semifinal with a Mats Hummels’ second-half header in Paris enough to secure a 2-0 aggregate victory for the German outfit with the game representing Kylian Mbappe’s last UCL appearance for the Parisian side.

Champions League winners in 1997 (beating Juventus in the final), Dortmund will be appearing in their third final in Europe’s top men’s club competition, having lost the showpiece event to Bayern Munich in 2013 (also staged at Wembley).

Getting tickets for the final

Both participating teams will receive 25,000 tickets each for the final with the tickets set to be made available for members. 10,000 tickets were made available via the UEFA Tickets portal which has now closed.

UEFA retain 26,000 tickets for internal use and sponsor and partner commitments.

Many UEFA partners such as Pepsi, Adidas, Heineken are also running competitions to win final tickets and this is another avenue for fans to try and secure a match ticket for the biggest game in European club football.
